Kelkom Systems (KELKOM) is a medical office hardware manufacturer. KELKOM produces and markets Efficiency and Throughput Practice Management Systems used by dental and physician offices as well as hospitals. The company provides solutions to a growing list of over 3,600 providers.
KELKOM manufacturers, sells, implements, installs, trains and supports Efficiency and Throughput Practice Management Systems. Our systems are comprised of wall panels that convey the location/status/need of every patient in the queuing system of the medical office. The panels are designed to be seen and understood from any location in the room and to last for decades.
KELKOM has been supplying and supporting physician offices for over 40 years. Headquartered in Redwood City, CA in the KELKOM Building, the company manufactures all its products here in the USA. KELKOM also has a remote sales office in Palm Beach, Florida.
Kelkom Systems was started on 1 March 1970, by David Kellems. The purpose of the manufacturing business was to market light signal systems (visual paging and status systems) to the dental and medical market in California, and later to the continental U.S. Mr. Kellems graduated from the University Iowa with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to starting Kelkom, Mr. Kellems was an engineer within the defense contracting industry primarily in the microwave signaling and guidance systems departments.
Mr. Kellems still has an advisory role at Kelkom, but the company is now run by professional managers with significant education and experience.
Production is overseen by two individuals with extensive experience in manufacturing. One has a degree from Yale University in engineering and has been a division manager at a public company. The other has an Electrical Engineering degree from MIT.
Corporate Strategy is managed by an individual with an Electrical Engineering degree from Stanford University and a Masters in Engineering Management also from Stanford University. He also has extensive experience in embedded systems and semiconductor manufacturing.
Digital marketing /media and operations research modelling is managed by an individual with an Industrial Engineering degree from Stanford University.
Medical Advisor position is held by an individual with degrees from Mount Holyoke College in Chemistry and a Masters Degree in Nursing from Yale University.
