Kelkom Systems Durability MTBF
Kelkom's products are designed to maximize the uptime of the systems. If the system has reliability issues, then neither you nor your patients are pleased. With this in mind, Kelkom uses industrial and Mil-Spec parts with VERY HIGH repeatability specifications. The products lose the potential of having the latest industrial design characteristics, but more than make up for that in reliability.
We like to say that our systems have a MTBF measured in decades.
MTBF
Mean time between failures (MTBF) is the predicted elapsed time between inherent failures of a system during operation. MTBF can be calculated as the arithmetic mean (average) time between failures of a system.
MTBF value prediction is an important element in the development of products. Reliability engineers and design engineers often utilize MTBF to reflect predicted fielded failure rates. The intent is also to focus design efforts on the weak links in the design.
