Let's compare total cost for each.
1. Newtork Cabling. Installation will be essentially the same. Cables go to each room for both.
2. Hardware. You will need to buy PCs for each room PLUS a server. You will also need "uninterruptible power supplies" for each station.
3. Software. You will need to buy operating systems, server O/S, firewalls, anti-virus, and networking software packages at the very least.
4. Start-up. Either you are going to become an expert computer support technician or you are going to pay someone 100+/hour to install and conifgure all those packages. Are they recommending the software solution?
